Snow Bunnies vs. Ice Queens
On January 10th, the Ice Queens and the Snow Bunnies faced off in SRD's first bout of the season. Only the truly faithful braved the wrath of the Ice Queens that night. Despite snow, biting winds and a blinding blizzard, fans came out to support Suburbia. This outpouring of love, cotton tails and bunny ears was simply too much for the Ice Queens. The Snow Bunnies defeated their mighty nemesis 95-72.
Derby hugs to our wonderful fans, friends and families who come out in blizzards, hurricanes and heat waves to watch us play.
Very special thanks to the guys: the Saw Mill Blade Runners and the Tuckahoe Road Warriors for making our first Double Header such a smashing success!

Suburban Brawl Victorious vs. Hudson Valley Horrors
Date: Saturday, November 1, 2008
Teams: Suburbia Roller Derby vs. Hudson Valley Horrors
The SUV's rolled into Yonkers when Suburbia Roller Derby took on the Hudson Valley Horrors on November 1, 2008. It was the day before the NYC Marathon. Shunning that other relatively boring sport, crowds at the Police Athletic League (P.A.L.) on North Broadway were psyched to cheer both derby leagues. The teams kept them engaged, although the night's bout ended in solemnity. Suburbia's jammer Smashing Pumpkin was injured in the final jam, leaving the game via gurney. Celebrating a sober victory, Suburbia sent Hudson Valley floating back up the river with a score of 93 to 48.
